چکیده

Knowledge of solid–liquid equilibria (SLE) and vapor–liquid (VLE) for mixtures containing deep eutectic solvents (DESs) is paramount importance. We have conducted experiments to obtain additional data SLE systems then used the e-NRTL model predict VLE behavior in DESs comprised choline chloride (ChCl), sorbitol (S), water (W). The under investigation include three 2-component (S/W, ChCl/W, ChCl/S), one 3-component system (DES/W) where DES obtained by mixing ChCl S at a molar ratio 1. Using activity coefficient model, adjusted binary interaction parameters proposed are determined solely from experimental this work also those literature. There an excellent agreement between solubility results. tuned bubble pressure aqueous DES/W) with overall AARD value 2.21%. predicted demonstrates viability thermodynamic modelling framework represent equilibrium DESs. outcome our study can be relate without need perform both cases given interest. Compared experiments, tests much simpler safer because there little compressibility effect on minimal which makes it possible conduct room conditions (at least liquids negligible non-ideality). Therefore, conducting high-pressure calculations through alone will practical significance.

Solvation dynamics of an ionic probe in choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents.

Solvation of the thiocyanate ion in three different deep eutectic solvents (DES) was investigated by linear FTIR spectroscopy, and Two Dimensional IR spectroscopy. Linear infrared spectroscopy reveals that the thiocyanate ion forms a hydrogen bond through its sulphur atom, while its nitrile end remains free. Photon-echo vibrational spectroscopy shows that the thiocyanate has a frequency-frequen...

The Properties of Choline Chloride-based Deep Eutectic Solvents and their Performance in the Dissolution of Cellulose

A series of choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (ChCl-DESs) were synthesized and characterized, and their performance in the dissolution of cellulose was investigated. The hydrogen-bond donors significantly (β-value) affected the properties of ChCl-DESs, causing differentiated dissolution performances. ChClimidazole (Im) showed the highest Hammett acidity function (1.869), hydrogen bo...

Functionalization of graphene using deep eutectic solvents

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have received attention in various applications because of their distinctive properties. In this work, DESs were used as functionalizing agents for graphene due to their potential to introduce new functional groups and cause other surface modifications. Eighteen different types of ammonium- and phosphonium-salt-based DESs were prepared and characterized by FTIR. Th...
